Awesome food and pies. Service is very good and it's really cool to be able to sit next to the water and eat.

Fantastic restaurant!! This place was jam packed at 6:00pm on a Thursday night. We were told 50-55 minute wait time, but our table was ready in 30 minutes! The wait time went quickly anyway because we were getting educated by the lobster cooker outside! He welcomed questions from the patrons waiting to dine inside. It was quite fascinating to watch him keep track of the lobster with an order number tag and place them in a net and then into the boiling pots to cook. Once seated, our server was friendly and attentive. We had the lobster pot served with clams, red boiled potato and corn cob, the 1.5lb lobster dinner and I opted for the "lazy lobster" which is a precut order of lobster marinated in drawn butter, sherry and lemon. So they do the work of getting the lobster out of the shell! It was delish!! Dessert was blueberry pie and raspberry pie. The blueberry pie was sweet and delicious. The raspberry pie was good, a bit tart but still pretty tasty. I highly recommend the blueberry pie however. My son also enjoyed the blueberry soda in a bottle. I had the blueberry ice tea which was unique and tasty. My husband had the "blueberry" old fashioned w/ a stick of rhubarb, he enjoyed it as well. Definitely worth the wait and a great seafood menu! Plenty of meat options for folks that may not want seafood, so everyone is happy! Fun atmosphere!

We stopped by for lunch on our way to Bar Harbour and very much enjoyed it. They have a limited menu available on their outdoor space, which is big with a nice view of the stream off to the side. We shared the lobster roll, crab roll, fries, and New England chowder between two of us. Everything was perfect! Service was friendly. I'd definitely like to come for dinner next to try more from the full menu.

Nice little place along River in entrance of Ellsworth, Maine. Cute grassy waiting area alongside the river where you can have a drink if waiting. Local beers available, but in cans. Good clam chowder! Nice flavor, not overloaded with potatoes. Maybe a little light on salt, but that's better than being too salty! Blackened salmon salad for me was good. Nice side of mango salsa with it. Husband's halibut crema was excellent! Nice sides of garlic potatoes and fresh green beans- fantastic. Worth the stop.

We stopped here after visiting Acadia National Park. I ordered the Blue Hill Martini, hot buttered lobster roll, fish chowder, and we shared the shrimp and scallop skewer. I also tried my grandma's food which was the lobster pie and that was delicious. Her husband also said the burger was great. I enjoyed my food except I think lobster rolls aren't for me, but the lobster was fresh. I would order the fish chowder and skewer again and try something new for the entree next time but I'm confident it will be good. Sitting inside was nice because we still had a view of the water but outside would be better on a nice day. Service was also fast and friendly. Food came out quick and hot. I'll be back one day I hope!

We arrived around 4:20. They open at four. The covered patio was nearly full. They also have tables outside. We sat inside as it was a bit humid. Our server was Jen. They have 2 Jen's. Ours was the shorter one. She was fantastic. Very efficient!! We ordered a bowl of lobster stew to share. Neither of us had ever had it before. It was one of the best things we've ever tasted!! OMG! Order it!! We weren't super hungry, so we shared that and a Lobster Pie. We each got a house salad. The Lobster Pie was also delicious!! I would suggest ordering that on a different day than the Lobster Stew as both are SUPER rich and heavy. But SO good. A bit of a timing issue with the kitchen. Our salads were served first, ice cold and great. But we weren't even halfway finished with them before the steaming bowl of stew arrived. Then the same with the entree before we'd even made a dent in the pie. They were pretty empty inside with 3-4 servers most standing around, but that changed fast near 5 pm. They got swamped on a Wednesday night. The poor timing from the kitchen aside, it was a delightful experience with AMAZING food! Generous chucks of lobster in everything. Our stew had at least 3 full claws and knuckle meat in one bowl. Wow!

I LOVE this place! I wish you folks would open a location in Pittsburgh so I could go there so much more often! Our server Rachel did a wonderful job and was very friendly. The food was delicious, not a single thing I would change. The owner does a wonderful job here and has a great thing going. Short review is certainly better here, otherwise i'd just continue talking about how much I love this restaurant!! Definitely go for the Surf & Turf, but don't forget that bacon wrapped scallop & shrimp skewer appetizer ;) ! Keep up the incredible work folks!!

We came here because the reviews were awesome and it did not disappoint! It was a 45 minute wait which was totally fine because there was a bar and plenty of seating outside. The food was delicious, however the baked stuffed haddock was the only thing lacking in flavor. That was the ONLY minor complaint. The crab artichoke dip, crab cakes, lobster pot and mussel pot was incredible. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was really great too!

We ate dinner here last night for the first time. It's located right outside the Main Street downtown area of Ellsworth right next to a river. Great restaurant to go to for tourists. If you love lobster, you'll be able to see them cooking them in their outdoor kitchen area. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a designated parking lot and overflow lot after a certain time. We loved that they had an outdoor bar to get cocktails, beer or wine. Great views and ample seating outside. Service was good and their lobster poutine was absolutely delicious!

They have a pretty big menu. Service was friendly and good. We had a variety of food - broiled haddock, stuffed haddock, lobster pie and fish sandwich. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Several people had berry pies for dessert. Outstanding! Nice touch - when desert was late coming out for one person, he ended up with a generous slice of pie. Thank you Molly! Brian - the owner - came by and chatted with us before we left. Really a nice person.
